Jakarta: Attorneys for Muchdi Purwoprandjon have asked the police to also investigate other members of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) about the planning of the murder of human right activist, Munir.

Achmad Cholid, one of Muchdi's attorneys, said the police could use the judicial review of Pollycarpus Budihari Priyanto, a suspect in this case, as a reason for the further investigation.

“By using the judicial review, the police can call other suspects, not only Muchdi,” he said today (23/6).

Achmad explained that Ucok or Padma, a BIN agent already stated that he was once required to kill Munir.

Padma also said that he knew Wahyu Saronto, Manunggal Maladi, Sentot, and Budi Santoso, all of whom are BIN agents.

“We will ask the police to investigate other BIN members besides Muchdi,” said Achmad.

He also asked the police to examine Suripto, a former BIN member who is now a deputy chairman of the House of Representative (DPR).

This was proposed because Suripto once said that BIN actually discussed the planning of the murder during a meeting of senior officials .
