Jakarta: Muhammadiyah is looking for a solution to reduce violence between different cultures and faiths by inviting 110 international figures and 120 national figures to a forum.
Muhammadiyah Chairman Din Syamsuddin, said that 'The Second World Peace Forum” would recommend a reduction of violence to international institutions.
The forum, which is costing Rp5 billion, will take place at Hotel Sultan between June 24 and June 26, and will be attended by religious and political figures, as well as economists and scientists.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will open the forum and it will be closed by Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
Peace messages will be delivered by Prime Ministers from New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Russia and Thailand, as well as representatives of international institutes.
