Bandung:The two dealers are Akhmad Turmuzi al-Adhi Irfan, 46, a resident of the Village of Dukuh Tengah, Karangampel District, Indramayu, West Java, and Robby Abraham, 38, a resident of Jalan Stasiun Timur, Semarang, Central Java.
According to Commissioner Hendro Pandowo, the two men were arrested while conducting a transaction in Jalan Kebon Kawung, Bandung, around at 6am yesterday (23/6).
They were planning to conduct a transaction with someone named Ajie at Bandung train station.
“The forged money was to be exchanged for Rp1 million in real money,” Hendro said at his office yesterday.
From the two dealers, the police confiscated a total of Rp3.2 billion in forged Rp100,000 banknotes.
The two suspects, Hendro continued, will be held under Articles 244 and 245 of the Criminal Code for Circulating and Making Forged Money.
