Jakarta (ANTARA Ndews) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono paid Rp127 million for his private annual tax of 2007 at the Finance Ministry`s Directorate General of Tax and Excise here on Saturday.

"The amount of tax which I pay this year is not much higher than the that of the previous year because the president`s salary is not rise from year to year," Yudhoyono said after paying his tax.

Accompanied by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Minister/State Secretary Hatta Rajasa on the occasion, the head of satiate said his previous private tax was Rp115 million but the increase this year was from his pension allowance.

"Lat year I paid Rp115 million," the president said, adding that he always tried to pay his tax on time.

He also called on the Directorate General of Tax and Excise to take stern action against business makers who irregularly paid their taxes.

"T business people who have yet to pay their taxes should pay them immediately," the president said.(*)
